Report an issue
Seen something that makes riding in Ipswich harder or more dangerous than it should be? Report it to the people who can fix it, and tell us so it goes on the issues register and doesn’t get forgotten.
1. Report it to the right authority
Reports to council and TMR are logged and counted. Numbers matter, so report it even if you think someone else already has.
Council assets (local streets, footpaths, shared paths, bikeways, parks, signs, lighting on local roads):
- Snap Send Solve is council’s preferred channel. Photograph the problem in the app and it goes straight to the right team with a reference number. iPhone · Android. Pick “Pavement and Footpath” or “Roads and Signage”.
- Dangerous or urgent: phone (07) 3810 6666, any time.
- Otherwise: council’s report an issue page or email council@ipswich.qld.gov.au.
State-controlled roads (Warrego Highway, Cunningham Highway, Ipswich Motorway, Centenary Highway, Brisbane Road, and most main roads between suburbs):
- TMR online report form, or 13 19 40 for urgent hazards.
- Not sure whose road it is? See whose road is that?
Dangerous driving (close passes, threats, assault):
- Policelink 131 444, or report online. Camera footage helps enormously. Note the time, place, plate and direction.
- Call 000 if someone is hurt or in danger right now.
2. Tell us
Email ipswichbug@gmail.com with:
- Where: street and suburb, or a pin from Google Maps or OpenStreetMap
- What: the problem in a sentence or two, and who it affects
- A photo if you can safely take one
- Any reference number council or TMR gave you
3. What happens next
- We add it to the register as Open, with a map pin.
- We work out who’s responsible and whether a plan, project or funding already covers it.
- We write to the responsible body, publish the letter, and set the status to Raised.
- We log every response on the issue page, with reference numbers, until it’s Resolved or we park it.
